Follow the receipts to the result
Distinguish a transaction's submission from the execution of its actions.
A NEAR action can create receipts that do work after the initial transaction is accepted.
Read the execution chain
NEAR transactions carry actions, and execution can create receipts for further work, including calls across contracts. An explorer can show these related outcomes. Follow the relevant receipts and final status before concluding that a transfer or app operation completed; the initial transaction record is only part of that story.
Separate gas from attached value
Gas measures execution work, while attached tokens are value supplied to an action. NEAR prices gas using network rules; adding more gas is not a bid that guarantees priority. Read the current gas estimate and attached deposit independently, since a function call can involve both.
Read a public contract call
Use a public NEAR explorer transaction linked from official documentation.
- Record the signer, receiver and action type.
- Find the related receipts and final outcome.
- Separate attached value from the displayed gas usage without sending any transaction.
The receipt outcomes explain whether the intended operation actually finished.
Read actions, receipts and costs together.
