英語の原文を読む →A token approval is a permission
Inspect contract identity and allowance before a swap.
A familiar ticker identifies a label. A contract address identifies the token.
- Token contract
- Spender allowance
- Separate swap transaction
Read what an approval permits
ERC-20 approve gives a specified spender an allowance. It can permit later transfers up to that amount; it is not the same action as the swap itself. Check the spender and requested amount.
Verify the origin
Compare the token's network and contract with the project's official source. Reject sites asking for recovery secrets. An unsolicited token or familiar name is not evidence that a contract deserves permission.
Inspect an imaginary approval
Do not connect a wallet.
- Write a fictional spender and allowance.
- Circle the permission's amount.
- List what must match the official token identity.
Read the permission before accepting the trade.
Check identity, spender and amount separately.
