英語の原文を読む →Inspect the route before DeFi
Check an IBC asset's denomination and the route's fee requirements before a swap or transfer.
A useful first preparation task is comparing two assets with the same ticker and different routes.
Trace the asset an application accepts
Different IBC paths can produce different representations despite identical wallet labels. Compare the exact denomination and trace with the application's documented asset. A shared ticker does not establish interchangeability.
Make a fee checklist for the route
A route can involve actions on more than one chain. Record the fee asset, estimated gas and required balance for each action. Current tooling may fail to obtain up-to-date fee information; treat missing estimates as a reason to pause, not evidence that the action is free.
Compare fictional IBC routes
Sketch the same source token arriving through two different channel paths.
- Give each path a different fictional channel label.
- Write which exact denomination a destination application would need to document.
- Add a separate fee-asset question for the source and destination without initiating either transfer.
You can check route identity and fee readiness before considering a trade.
Before using IBC liquidity, verify the representation and every fee network involved.
