Follow the official new-wallet flow
Use TronLink's official extension link, choose Create Wallet and read the agreement. Set a name and password, then use Back up Wallet rather than postponing recovery. Privately record the mnemonic in order and complete its word verification before Done. The guide warns against screenshots; never send a phrase to a course, website or helper.
Learn activation before paying for it
A newly generated address and an activated onchain account are different stages. TRON documents costs associated with creating an account, separate from later resource use. This lesson stops at an unfunded wallet or a documentation walkthrough. Check current activation rules before any future transfer rather than accepting a request to deposit now.
Write an unfunded setup plan
Read TronLink's guide or optionally create a fresh wallet with no funds.
