อ่านต้นฉบับภาษาอังกฤษ →A bridge changes more than the screen
Trace a cross-chain transfer and name the extra assumptions it introduces.
Two networks have separate records. Something must connect the action on one with the result on the other.
- Source asset
- Bridge mechanism
- Destination asset
- Return conditions
Follow both sides
Bridges can use different designs, including locking assets on one chain and issuing a representation on another. Read what is received, who or what validates the transfer, and how a return journey works. Matching symbols do not establish matching redemption rights.
Check the return route too
A bridge can introduce contract, validator or custody assumptions in addition to the networks' own risks. Fees, destination gas and withdrawal timing also affect the journey. Read the current official instructions for the specific route before you authorize a transfer.
Make a bridge passport
Choose a route in an official chain guide without connecting a wallet.
- Write the source and destination network names.
- Record the exact destination asset and how the guide says it is backed or redeemed.
- Find the withdrawal timing and fees. Mark any unanswered field 'unknown'.
A route is not understood until its destination and return conditions are understood.
Know what arrives, not only what leaves.
