Читать английский оригинал →A wallet is a contract
Distinguish a user's wallet contract from token-specific contracts.
A TON transfer may involve more than the address that appears in the wallet's main screen.
- User wallet contract
- Sender jetton wallet
- Recipient jetton wallet
The wallet checks authorization
A TON wallet is a smart contract that validates authorized messages and can send messages to other contracts. Different wallet versions and identifiers can produce different addresses, even when a public key is shared. Confirm the exact wallet address instead of assuming one key always means one interchangeable account.
Jettons have a distributed structure
A jetton has a master contract for its identity and supply information, plus token-specific jetton wallet contracts that hold individual users' balances. Your main wallet address and your jetton wallet contract are different roles. A token symbol describes the asset; the master contract identifies which jetton it actually is.
Label the contract roles
Use the jetton standard's documentation; no wallet connection is needed.
- Draw a user wallet, a jetton master and a user jetton wallet.
- Label which one identifies the currency and which holds a user's token balance.
- Explain why copying a jetton-wallet address is not automatically a normal recipient instruction.
Contract roles matter as much as the appearance of an address.
Identify the wallet role before treating an address as a destination or asset identifier.
