Network upgrades can change how a fee is computed. Old screenshots are not a budget.

AVAX pays C-Chain fees
C-Chain fees are paid in AVAX and follow the network's current fee rules. Read the live wallet estimate and current documentation. Do not assume an old gas-limit shortcut or fixed price still applies.
Match the explorer to the chain
Before a transfer, check C-Chain, recipient, asset amount and available AVAX. Use the explorer documented for C-Chain or Fuji, then inspect the transaction result and fee on that same network.
Mark stale assumptions
Use an imaginary old fee screenshot.
- Circle its fixed fee value.
- Replace it with check current estimate.
- Add the network and receipt checks.
Current rules matter more than a familiar tutorial.
Use the current AVAX estimate and verify the receipt.
