Prepare an issued-asset interaction
Check issuer authorization and trustline limits before a transfer or swap.
A visible balance is only one part of whether an issued asset can be used.
Check the receiving trustline
Verify the receiver's exact code-and-issuer trustline, remaining capacity and required authorization. A different asset with the same code is insufficient. Use those checks before considering a payment.
Account for liabilities and reserves
Offer liabilities affect spendable amounts; subentries affect minimum requirements. Inspect them alongside balances before trading. The headline number is insufficient.
Write a receiver checklist
Use a public account record or official documentation without sending a payment.
- Record the chosen asset's code and issuer.
- List the trustline, authorization and limit checks a recipient would need.
- Add questions about existing offers, liabilities and current reserve requirements.
The relevant holding and authorization rules can be checked before a payment is constructed.
Issuer identity, authorization and available capacity belong in every issued-asset review.
Progress stays on this device.
