Start with the phrase-based example
Install from MetaMask's official site. Create a new wallet with its Secret Recovery Phrase option. Privately preserve the 12 English words offline in order and follow the password prompts.
Match network and receiving address
Select Polygon PoS, 137, or Amoy, 80002, using its guide. Copy and inspect that network's public address. Resolve legacy MATIC wording through the current POL specification. Leave the wallet unfunded.
