Create a new Phantom wallet
Install the extension through phantom.com/download. Select Create New Wallet, then Create a Recovery Phrase Wallet. Set a browser password, privately record the 12 words offline and confirm I saved my Recovery Phrase. Complete the username prompts. The browser password unlocks that installation; it does not replace the backup.
Copy the Solana address
In the extension, Home then Receive exposes the address. On mobile, use +, Receive, then Tokens; check the network selector below the QR code. Choose Solana and inspect its public receiving address, not another supported network's address. Stop unfunded, and never disclose the recovery phrase here.
Label the receiving context
Read the guides, or optionally create a new unfunded wallet.
- Draw a receiving card with a network heading.
- Explain why a wallet name alone is incomplete.
- Keep the recovery information entirely off that card.
The network is part of the receiving instruction.
Back up privately and verify the Solana receiving context.
