ইংরেজি মূল পড়ুন →Four numbers inside one candle
Read open, high, low and close without treating a chart as a prediction.
A candle compresses a period of observations. Start by checking how long that period is.
- Open: 10
- High: 13
- Low: 9
- Close: 12
Open, high, low, close
OHLC records the first price, highest price, lowest price and final price for an interval. A line chart usually selects one value per point. Changing the interval changes the detail you see; a longer candle can hide movements that are visible in shorter intervals.
Read the axes before the shape
Note the currency, time range, candle interval and timestamp. Providers can change interval granularity with the requested range. Use the same units and periods when comparing charts, and distinguish a completed interval from one that is still forming.
Sketch one candle
Use the four fictional numbers above on a vertical axis.
- Mark 9 and 13 as the extremes.
- Draw a body between the open of 10 and close of 12.
- Label the time interval 'one hour'. Write why the drawing cannot reveal the exact order of every trade.
A candle summarizes observations; it does not replay the whole market.
Time and units first. Shape second.
