Lire l’original anglais →BUIDL is a deliberate respelling of build used in crypto communities to emphasize productive work. Binance Academy records this usage and its connection to the style of HODL. The expression can cover writing software, improving documentation, designing usable interfaces, investigating security, or helping maintain shared infrastructure. It is a cultural slogan rather than a technical standard, and its meaning is not fixed by a particular blockchain or company.
Ethereum's developer resources illustrate the concrete work behind the slogan: learning network mechanics, using development tools, testing applications, and integrating existing standards. An educational project might build a small testnet contract, document its assumptions, and examine its failure cases before involving assets with real value. Such work differs from merely announcing a roadmap. A repository, test result, deployed program, and user-facing service each provide different evidence of progress.
Calling a team builders does not prove that its code is secure, its business works, or its token is needed. Evaluate specific deliverables, maintenance, permissions, and independent use. The same spelling can also be a product name, including the tokenized fund covered elsewhere in this glossary; context and issuer identity matter. An encyclopedia should explain the term's social use without turning it into an endorsement or implying that participation in a developer community creates investment rights.
