Basahin ang orihinal na Ingles →A seed phrase is a human-readable representation used in a wallet's recovery process. In the common BIP-39 construction, the words encode random entropy with a checksum, and a separate derivation step produces a binary seed. A deterministic wallet can then derive many keys from that seed. The coins remain recorded on their networks: the backup recreates signing authority rather than containing the coins themselves. Other recovery schemes exist, so a word-based backup should not automatically be assumed to follow BIP-39.
Imagine restoring a wallet whose original setup used an additional passphrase and a particular derivation path. Entering only the words into another application can open a different wallet or display no expected history. That is not evidence that the blockchain erased the funds. The recovery process may also need the original passphrase, account selection, address type, and wallet-specific configuration. A recovery plan should document compatible software and nonsecret configuration without exposing the secret material itself.
Someone with the required recovery secrets can generally reproduce the corresponding private keys and authorize spending. A device PIN or local application password may protect one installation while leaving the seed-based recovery route available elsewhere. Conversely, losing an indispensable passphrase can prevent recovery even if the words survive. Treat an unexplained request to type a recovery phrase into a website as a request for signing authority, not a routine account login. Public example phrases and specification test vectors must never be used as live wallet secrets.
